How to Submit Videos for Approval and Tag Posts on Kora
Updated August 26, 2026 · by the Kora team
You applied, the brand accepted you, and now there is real work to do: get each video approved (when the brand asks for that), post it, and make sure the post counts toward the campaign so the brand sees your numbers inside Kora. This is the whole loop, step by step.
Where the work happens
The moment a brand accepts you, the job moves into Campaigns in your dashboard sidebar. The Job Board keeps a status row under its Applications tab, but the working surface is the campaign drawer: open Campaigns, click the deal, and you will find the brief, your linked accounts, video review, and a posting tracker in one place. On the Job Board row, the Open in Campaigns button jumps you straight there.
Submitting videos for approval
Some brands review every video before it goes live. If your job works that way you will see a Video review section on the accepted job card and as a tab in the campaign drawer. The flow:
- Upload your draft to Drive, Dropbox, or Frame.io and set sharing to “anyone with the link can view”. Kora reviews are link-based; you never upload the file to Kora.
- Paste the link into Video review, add an optional label (“Hook v2”) and a note to the brand, and submit. The brand is notified automatically.
- Watch the status chip. Awaiting review means the brand has not decided; Approved means post it; Changes requested comes with a note telling you what to adjust. Edit your submission and resubmit the new cut.
- Only post approved videos. Posting an unapproved or materially changed cut is the fastest way to not get paid for it. Approved drafts lock, so there is never confusion about which version got the yes.
Tagging posts to the campaign
Tagging is how a live post gets credited to the brand. Kora reads the views from your connected account and rolls them up to the campaign, so the brand watches performance without asking you for screenshots. There are two ways, and most deals should use the first:
- Dedicate the account (best for one-brand accounts). If you run an account just for this brand, open the deal in Campaigns and link that TikTok or Instagram account to it. From then on every new post auto-counts: no per-post tagging, no forgetting. If a stray personal post lands on the account, switch it off in the drawer's post list.
- Tag posts one by one (for mixed accounts). Go to Analytics, find the post in the table, and use the + Tag brand control on the row to pick the campaign. The tag shows as a chip on the post; remove it the same way if you mis-tag.
Either way, the account has to be connected to Kora first: Home, Your accounts, connect TikTok or Instagram. Connecting is free for everyone and takes about a minute per account.
The rhythm that keeps brands happy
- Draft → submit for review (if the job requires it) → approved.
- Post on the agreed account.
- Tag it immediately (or rely on the dedicated account doing it for you).
- Check the campaign drawer's tracker: it counts your posts against the deliverable target, so you and the brand always agree on where the deal stands.
Frequently asked questions
Do all Kora jobs require video approval before posting?
No. Approval is a per-job setting the brand chooses. If your accepted job shows a Video review section (on the job card or in the campaign drawer), submit each video there before posting. If there is no Video review section, the brand does not require pre-approval and you can post per the brief.
Do I upload the video file for review?
No, reviews are link-based. Upload your draft to Google Drive, Dropbox, or Frame.io and paste the link. Make sure the link is set so anyone with it can view, or the brand will see a permissions wall instead of your video.
When should I tag my posts to the campaign?
Right after posting. Tagging is how the brand sees your views inside Kora, and untagged posts do not count toward the campaign. If the account is dedicated to the deal, new posts are tagged automatically and you do not need to do anything.
I tagged the wrong post. Can I undo it?
Yes. On the Analytics post table, open the post's tag chips and remove the campaign. On a dedicated account, switch off the specific post in the campaign drawer's post list instead of deleting anything.
Does the brand see my other videos or my earnings?
Brands see the reach of content tagged to their campaign, plus the aggregate stats on your profile. Kora never shows brands your earnings or per-account follower lists.
